Accounts Compromised.......I hate the hackers

So, I have 2 accounts attached to the same battlenet account and on Sunday the hackers were nice enough to teach me a lesson on security by attaching an authenticator to my account. After a long 7 hours I finally got through to a blizzard support representive and had the authenticator taken off and the password reset. My accounts were under a 24hr ban by this time due to suspicions of compromise but unfortunally the damage was already done to my precious toons (the armory was nice enough to show me all of my NAKED belfs). The 24hr ban on my toons ended while I was at work and before I could even log on I received an email stating that 1 of my accounts has been closed due to Exploitative Activity. Once again I got on the phone with blizzard and they stated that the account would have to be reviewed before it could be re-opened . I will admit at this point I was frustrated because I couldn't understand why it would be closed more then 24 hrs after a compromise was reported and during those 24hrs the account wasn't even playable due to the ban. UGH....yes I understand I am writing a wall of text to QQ but strangly it makes me feel better.

My question: Should I open an ingame GM ticket?
Blizzard support told me that I don't need to open a GM ticket on my playable account for restoration b/c they already did it. It has been almost 5 days since I was hacked and I haven't received any email from Blizzard except for the account closure one.

Once again sorry for all the words.

You do have an open investigation going, Eemma.

At the moment, it's 3 days, 13 hours old - that queue is running roughly 4 - 5 days on average at present.

They should look at everything during the investigation. Did you find the source of this? If it was malware or a compromised email account and they still have a means of obtaining your information, they WILL be back.

This sticky may be useful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
