When is the last time you tried to access the account, Pit?

They actually removed this one themselves just a bit ago - that does happen sometimes.

Dont mean to De-rail the thread entirley Orylia, but hasnt seem odd to you that there has been a lot of Banning/Hackings within the last week?

Not at all, Plytor. There always is somewhat of an uptick in the summer, and many returning for the summer are just now realizing something happened to their account in the last few months.

I'm actually in the game right now, and awaiting GM reply for account restoration

I changed my old password straight after, and logged into the game with new password. Not long after that, I got email saying that my password had been reset. Probably it is the hacker, trying to reset the password again.

It's vital that you find the source of how they are getting your information. They WILL get back in if they are able.

This sticky may be useful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

They removed the one they had applied themselves, yes.

Likely in hopes we wouldn't, ummmm - make it pretty useless for them on the next account.

Poor compromiser, having their hopes and dreams dashed like that.

Mwhahah *cough*, *cough*, I mean, that has been tended to.

*wink*

LOL. Thanks for that Orlyia. Good on ya.

Now I just have to wait for GM reply in the game. Been waiting 3 hours lol.

Just leave that petition open, that's not something you need to be online for.

Currently once an investigation has been opened, those are running about 4 - 5 days to process.
