Account Compromised - Authenticator

Hey, my account (in the past 30 mins) has been compromised & Authenticator placed on the account,
If you could remove the authenticator and reset the password I would greatly appreciate it, a friend who recently had this happen referred me here.
The account password or email hasnt been changed I don't think, as I have not recieved an email.

Please check your email for a new password and see if you can access the account, Angel.

Finding the source of this is going to be vital to prevent recurrence. If they CAN still get in, they WILL be back.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

Seriously it wasn't me and the amount of investigation that I told was being done could take 2 weeks. I think it is ridiculous. It is a freaking game. The initial call had the 1st person I spoke to who looked at the account recognize that the random key generator thing that was assigned to the account wasn't mine and clearly it wasn't otherwise I would have gone right back into the game. I am there to play not to get myself banned. Anyway I am ticked off to the point where I went into EB Games and another store and did cancel my reserves for Cataclysm til I see this being handled better. I took the money and spent it on Guitar Hero games for my son. I currently am struggling to figure out from email to email now after it was shut down what msg is real and what is not. This is ridiculous.

The account in question I am talking of is not the one I am posting on btw ..



I do see where that account is open as an investigation. It really shouldn't be that long at the moment, those are running about 4 - 5 days currently.

As far as telling emails that are from us, pop open the internal routing header on ANY email that claims to be from Blizzard. That will show you the true sender.
