Issues with Account Restoration

Last fall I decided to take a hiatus from playing wow. About 3-4 months after my account was expired I received an email saying that I was banned for 72 hours for exploiting the auction house, or something to that effect. I immediately went through the steps to have my account recovered, and my items restored. I did not immediately return to playing, however. When I did return to playing last week I found that my items were restored incorrectly, so I issued another ticket and had everything returned. It was after this was completed that I realized that a LARGE portion of achievements that I had completed shortly before I started my hiatus had been removed from my characters.

I opened another ticket to discuss this matter, and try to have them restored, and got an email message that read:

Q u o t e:
Please note that items with random modifiers (of the Bear, of the Eagle, etc.) are randomly generated; therefore we are unable to guarantee that you will receive the same modifier you had on your original item. We are also unable to guarantee the restoration of trade skills, as well as enchantments or add-ons (such as gems, scopes, etc.) that your character's items may have possessed. While we will make every effort to provide assistance in cases of loss, please keep in mind that the decision to go forward with a restoration is entirely at Blizzard's discretion. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have been caused.

None of which says anything about not restoring achievements. I am at a loss as to how I can have all of the items that I kept from doing the Loremaster and Seeker achievements, as well as items received while grinding rep for faction achievements, restored but have those achievements REMOVED and then subsequently unable to be restored.

If someone could PLEASE look into this matter for me, as I would really appreciate having these restored, as they represented a HUGE time investment on my part. Thanks and hopefully someone can help me with this matter.

What achievements in particular were "lost," Kazuros? Did you actually lose credit for the achievement or have you simply lost progress for achievements such as the Loremaster and Seeker achievements?

I do see that you've completed a number of achievements including Loremaster of Outland, Kazuros, but I'm unable to see anything which would indicate you've lost any achievements or achievement points. I sincerely apologize, but because we cannot verify any losses we will be unable to provide reimbursement.

To be perfectly honest, Kazuros, I have never heard of a player losing achievements as a result of a compromise. I'm not saying that you are incorrect, just that I've never witnessed it in all my experience.
