Now I know anyone outside the game trying to get my account with whatever means is easy to spot (I used to be on Gaia Online, the templates this site provided popped up quite often in Personal Messages or "PMs" quite often by Phishers and was summarily reported every time I had the chance to receive one)...but what about in-game? I ask this because of a matter of no more than 10 minutes into my last session I recieved a whisper which posted a site's address...one of which I'm dubious to check (I reported the person as "Spam" since there isn't a real "Report User" interface). Now I know there's no way Blizzard employees would give out such things as mounts through whispers (something that popped up while I was in Icecrown and again was reported as "Spam"), so I have to ask about a potential scammer/phisher towards Beta testing Cataclysm.
Due to my own Code of Conduct, Website withheld unless a representative of Blizzard contacts me. This protects myself as well as any other user from falling for a Hack/Scam/Phish of their accounts.
