ITS BEEN GOING FOR 6 MONTHS NOW WHAT ARE WE CLIMBING MT EVEREST? I WANT ANSWERS

Did you submit these petitions on another account, Whackagnome? The last petition I see was submitted 13 days ago, though it was about the Trade channel it didn't actually report any individual so we could investigate.

There is no mention of emoting trolls or any other type of spam. The only other harassment report I can find is from March but it doesn't appear to be related.

Your caplock button seems to be stuck, Whackagnome, please have that looked at if you wish to continue posting here.

I'd also ask that you not call people names or make ridiculous accusations when someone is simply trying to give you advice.

Queue times are currently around 4-5 days at the moment and even then we look into the report appropriately, if it is actually reported to us.

Now, could you give me the name and realm of a character on what I can only assume is your other account that you are reporting these issues on? I'll be happy to take a look.

I can see abandoned petitions and I'm afraid I don't see any on this account.

Such issues are also not "too old to deal with". An hour, a day or 14 days, we can still look into such reports if you actually report it.

Edit: Correction, I do see a few abandoned petitions but only one is related to advertisement or spam and that was from March and was abandoned after 5 hours.

if you can see abandoned tickets that all i need to know ill just simply start logging everthing every time a spammer does it ill open a ticket and abandon it since its like 20 times a day

Just because I can see abandoned petitions, Whackagnome, doesn't mean that we act on the information in them. By abandoning your petition you are removing your request from our queue.

I understand that these issues are frustrating, there is spam from advertisers as well as spam and other inappropriate conduct from those on your realm. Each can be addressed accordingly, if you have a little understanding of the system.

Someone who is shouting gold or powerleveling advertisements should be reported via the Report Spam feature. By right clicking their name in the chat window and selecting that option. Please note that many of these accounts are likely compromised so by doing this you not only help limit their ability to advertise but also could be helping the account holder by getting a notification to them that their account has been involved in policy violations.

The body spam is special as it is the latest attempt at advertising while limiting players ability to report it. Our Developers are looking into methods of addressing this kind of behavior but the major issue is that they are using mechanics in-game that are also used by legitimate players. It is a challenge to break that ability without also breaking your ability to walk.

As for improper use of the trade channel, that is addressed differently based on the violations. If it is simply someone spamming their message over and over or using the [ability/item] (bodypart) spam then you can use the Report Spam option. If you and the others on your realm do this it will quickly curb such behavior. If someone is using inappropriate language or having an inappropriate conversation the best thing to do is to submit an in-game petition.

I understand that depending on the realm this issue may be more prevalent and it will not go away over night but as with spam if you and the others on your realm as persistent in reporting it, enough people will receive warnings and suspensions that they will stop. What has happened over time is a lot of people are like you, they simply have given up because they think their reports are ignored. Or you have those who shout "Reported" but never actually report the violation. This gives the impression to the person who was "reported" that nothing was done and the language they used is fine, and it gives others who believe the person was reported the same idea.

You may not be able to report everyone, Whackagnome, but reporting some of them will certainly start the ball rolling.

but on a side not i have had tickets come back to me saying sorry we missed you even though i was online

In some cases we may register you offline, this can happen if we pull your petition while you are moving from one area to the next though it can happen randomly as well.

In many cases though we simply don't need to speak with you. As long as you include the information in your petition, especially regarding a harassment report, it will be looked into and appropriate actions taken.

The others weren't trying to flame you, Whackagnome, but to help you see that how you were going about addressing these issues was not the best way. I hope the advice that we provided will help towards making your realm a fun and welcoming environment again.

I am sorry if you felt that you were flamed, or made fun of. That was certainly not the intent, though I would have to wonder as well, if you required caps to post why do you not also require them to read what was posted? :)

I will not be deleting this thread as it does contain valuable information for others who may be experiencing a similar situation. Even though you have apparently thrown your hands up in defeat others will hopefully take the advice given here.

Indeed, which you had already done when I posted. The valuable information I was referring to was what I and some of the others posted.

I really do hope you follow the advice that I have given. I can tell you from personal experience that this type of behavior on a realm does improve over time, if you and your fellows are consistent in your reporting.

Good luck.
