Q u o t e:
if you can see abandoned tickets that all i need to know ill just simply start logging everthing every time a spammer does it ill open a ticket and abandon it since its like 20 times a day
Just because I can see abandoned petitions, Whackagnome, doesn't mean that we act on the information in them. By abandoning your petition you are removing your request from our queue.
I understand that these issues are frustrating, there is spam from advertisers as well as spam and other inappropriate conduct from those on your realm. Each can be addressed accordingly, if you have a little understanding of the system.
Someone who is shouting gold or powerleveling advertisements should be reported via the Report Spam feature. By right clicking their name in the chat window and selecting that option. Please note that many of these accounts are likely compromised so by doing this you not only help limit their ability to advertise but also could be helping the account holder by getting a notification to them that their account has been involved in policy violations.
The body spam is special as it is the latest attempt at advertising while limiting players ability to report it. Our Developers are looking into methods of addressing this kind of behavior but the major issue is that they are using mechanics in-game that are also used by legitimate players. It is a challenge to break that ability without also breaking your ability to walk.
As for improper use of the trade channel, that is addressed differently based on the violations. If it is simply someone spamming their message over and over or using the [ability/item] (bodypart) spam then you can use the Report Spam option. If you and the others on your realm do this it will quickly curb such behavior. If someone is using inappropriate language or having an inappropriate conversation the best thing to do is to submit an in-game petition.
I understand that depending on the realm this issue may be more prevalent and it will not go away over night but as with spam if you and the others on your realm as persistent in reporting it, enough people will receive warnings and suspensions that they will stop. What has happened over time is a lot of people are like you, they simply have given up because they think their reports are ignored. Or you have those who shout "Reported" but never actually report the violation. This gives the impression to the person who was "reported" that nothing was done and the language they used is fine, and it gives others who believe the person was reported the same idea.
You may not be able to report everyone, Whackagnome, but reporting some of them will certainly start the ball rolling.
