Spam emails - this is getting ridiculous!

I have been getting a RIDICULOUS number of spam email messages each day, usually about 5 or 6 daily. They range from saying I need to opt-in for the Cata beta to "after thorough investigation we have discovered that your account is eligible for restoration" followed by my email address, the realm, and a list of @%** that I apparently had on that character, that does not exist on my account. I even got one saying that my request to change a characters name (which was actually similar to one of my current characters' names) is now pending. Is anyone else getting these? I am going to buy an authenticator anyway and I know this is not Blizzard's fault at all, but is this "normal" or should I be worried? I

We frequently see players reporting an influx of spam emails after they've signed up for various World of Warcraft related websites, Tixi. Accordingly, we frequently suggest that players create a brand new email address used solely for the World of Warcraft; one that is not used to sign up for guild websites, social networks, third-party forums, or contests. You may want to consider creating a new Battle.net email address so that you are easily able to identify phishing emails. For more information, please visit:
