Got this e-mail while I was online, about 15 minutes ago:

A request for a new password for this World of Warcraft Account has been received. Please follow this link to choose your new password:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport/confirmPass............... (took out the rest)

Be sure to use a brand new password and not one you have previously used.

Please note that this link is valid for a single use and will expire after 72 hours if not used. If this link does not work, please resubmit your request for a new password.

For the continued security of the account, we recommend that you take the following steps prior to logging in to your account:

- Scan the computer system you are using to remove all viruses, Trojan files, and key loggers.

- Log in to your Account Management page at https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account

- Verify that your contact information is accurate and update it if necessary.

- If you would like to add additional security to your account, you can visit this link (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/24660) to find out more information about the Blizzard Authenticator.

- Maintain safe Internet practices and safeguard all World of Warcraft account information for the most secure gaming experience.

Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment!

Authentic? Came from noreply@blizzard.com.

Haven't clicked on any links in the e-mail.

Cant get through to support as their hold que is full, lol.

Anyway, I have an authenticator and have had for a long time. Any ideas??

I can still log onto my account also.

Scanned cpu with Malewarebytes and Avast and both came up empty.

Im thinking it is just fishing.

That is very similar to the e-mail that is sent out if you request a password recovery but I would have to agree that the e-mail is likely a phishing attempt.

If you are ever unsure if an e-mail is legitimate you should be able to check the headers. You can usually hover over the link in the e-mail to see where it is actually directing you. More information on how to detect fake/phishing e-mails can be found in the following thread.
