Dear blizzard,

I have seen over 20 false authenticator threads on the tech service today!

And so far, none fixed. The support number is either full and just tells you that you need to go to the site which tells you to call the number!

I am very cautious about how I surf the net and never enter my info anywhere! These authenticators are good, but they #**@ with everyone else who hasn't gotten one!

So why are these damn farmers and hackers getting all of these authents.

I love this game, but if this keeps happening... I might just quit, and if this keeps happening, so will many others!

As Hathios said, Joieaofeast, the Authenticators that are usually used are the mobile versions which are mostly free depending on what kind of phone you use.

Hopefully you and those many others will find out the source of their compromise and take care of the breach in their security.

My .02, it almost seems like these hackers are going through blizz, not the users...

Except that our systems haven't been compromised. I can understand the perception, if you were unable to find the source then it must be on Blizzards end, but if that were true there would be a noticeable increase in the number of compromises, which there haven't been.

So, from some sources, idk the validity, there is a keylogger on the newest version of gearscore

I heard that rumour last week, I thought it was verified as false after a few hours.

There will always be theories as to how something happens and rumours of this or that. It is ridiculous to think that we don't take the security of our games seriously. After all, providing restorations after a compromise is something that we do because we understand the amount of work that goes into creating and leveling a character. If we simply stopped providing this service it would free up a great many resources that would likely allow us to assist all other issues that are brought to us within moments.

Yet, we continue to help where we can.

I think this thread has run it's course so I'll be locking it. Good luck all, I wish you well on a speedy recovery.
