I also changed my WoW password AGAIN, after correcting the issue. I then followed EVERY step given in the Blizzard guide to protecting your account, and plan on ordering an authenticator ASAP.
Adding an authenticator as an additional layer of protection is an excellent choice. We are temporarily out of stock on the keyfobs, the mobile is of course available. If you wish to get the physical authenticator - just check back with the store early and often.
I can confirm you have an open investigation, at the moment it's 3 days 11 hours old. Right now, investigations are running 5-ish days, give or take - so you should hear from your Specialist relatively soon.

The ones they tried to transfer likely won't be available at all until this is resolved. You wouldn't want to play a transferred character in any case - anything you did would be undone when they were sent back.
