Bot on Arathi Basin BG

For more than a week now I have been reporting a BOT that has been infecting the Arathi Basin BG at levels 30-39. Can someone explain to me why this BOT is tolerated? It just sits there until it is eventually sent away. Until that happens, the Horde is always short one player. I have been seeing it A LOT since I almost exclusively play on Arathi to gain honor. The BOT is very frustrating, enough that I won't play during the day. When the BG gets crowded, the odds of having this BOT hanging on us goes down. Tech support does not appear to care. I am getting very angry having to constantly be the one to try to send it away so we can fill that roster spot. Why won't Blizzard act to stop it?

Is "bot" the correct term, Scurve? If this person just sits there, essentially keeping themselves from going afk by jumping, etc... that is not always accomplished with what is technically considered a botting program.

The /afk reporting feature implemented in Battlegrounds is intended to be used to report players who are not participating in a match. Yes, they may then appear in another match requiring the option to be used again but these reports can and do contribute to later and more severe action including possible suspension and removal of gained honour and items.

I am sorry for what inconvenience these players cause, Scurve. If you do find someone that you believe is using some kind of automation software please submit an in-game petition to report it.

If you see the same character after a week or two, it would be perfectly fine to report them again.

Q u o t e:
I wasn't aware that pointing out a bot was a "post containing personal information about other players."

Actually it would be considered a harassing and defamatory statement, Scurve. We do not permit such accusations here simply because anyone can make up practically anything about someone else, it doesn't need to be true.

Public accusation is also not how we do things here. If a player is found to be in violation of our policies we take appropriate actions based on those actions. What happens is between us and that player.

Q u o t e:
My comment was NOT a harassment or a defamation because I know it's true.

No, it's alleged. This is not a court and a judge has not passed judgment. You claim it to be true but your audience does not know one way or the other what is true nor is this the appropriate place to make sure accusations.
Q u o t e:

I and other paying customers are the victims, not the person running the BOT (or whatever it is).

The other person who is allegedly running a "bot", Scurve, that person is also a paying customer. Given the penalty for using a third party program such as this they also deserve to have any accusation levied against them fully investigated to the fullest extent possible. We are unable to make a decision based on a visual cues, any action we take must be able to stand up to several levels of dispute.

I am sorry for what inconvenience this issue has caused you, we will look into the reports made and take what actions are appropriate based on our policies and methods. If you would like to see our methods change you are welcome to provide your feedback directly to our Developers by posting in the Suggestion forum.

I encourage you to use the resources available and continue to use the /afk report feature while in the match.

Edit:

Goodness, I just looked at your petition history, Scurve, you originally reported this a little over 2 days ago. O.o

As I said, I understand your frustration but seriously, give it some time.
