Frankly to me, i dont see a problem with the name being desplayed. I give my name out daily to people i dont even know, half the people in my guild know my real know and i never even met them a day in my life. So i dont have a problem with RealID displaying my name, HOWEVER i do have a problem with realID attaching itself to my personal information....

Some of you out there who defend realID say, "oh wow, its displaying my real name. Who cares?" but you need to think beyond the box when it comes to your security and how its being mishandled here. There was a politician recently here in california who was running for a spot on the senate, this politician didn't win of course, hes name....Chris Kelly.

What did this man do and why do i mention him? He was a leading figure for the Facebook Privacy act, where he not only grabbed every single persons private information on facebook, but released it so anyone can access it.

Now blizzard contracts with facebook and not only can they sell your personal information but release to anyone on the web. Like getting phone calls everyday from Telemarketers? getting tons of spam in your email. Expect that to happen real soon.

Now lets look beyond that, realid attaches itself to are battle.net accounts, it doesn't display anything beyond an email or real name. But it draws that information from are Battle.net accounts, thats where we keep are passwords, are Credit card Numbers, are Bank Debit card numbers, are Phone Numbers if your using the Pay by Phone feature and since its attached to that information anyone whos really really smart can hack into that resource and GRAB ALL YOUR INFORMATION. $1000 in your bank accounts Gone tomorrow, a Huge Credit Card Bill you never did happening to you the very next day.

paranoid Conspiracy theorist? i think not, this %!!! happens everyday, every hour on the internet. There are tons of people out there who work hard everyday finding flaws in systems that are attached to peoples personal information. Have you seen the New Windows 8 Commercial on TV where microsoft setup a fake bank and had real people come in thinking they were opening up a bank account to get a free $500? they gave bank account numbers, phone numbers, physical address's, Thumb Prints and More.

Scams lIke that happen everyday on the internet and its real, Do you have 100% complete faith now in RealID? a system that collects your personal information in your Battle.net accounts but lets people give that information out freely and with no secuirity in place at all?
