I was compromised.

My account was apparently taken over early monday morning, when I was not playing, and an authenticator was slapped on it.

I have tried multiple times to contact Blizzard by phone, can't even get in the queue to talk to someone. Friends and family have contacted GM's and they say, oh it will take time.. Sadly, Canceling takes just as much time. Well, not really, since my cc company makes things far easier.

Of course, GM's are in on the scams. HANG AROUND GOLDSHIRE IN GARROSH ~3-4am, you will see some crazy things going on. Lvl 1 Alliance players easily beating lvl 80's, players morphing from troll hunter to gnome mage instantly, armies appearing then disappearing. . Lets see a gold seller that can swing that.

I was targeted because I was head of a guild with a decent bank and recruited in the area. I use Firefox with adblock and noscript. Five AV/spyware programs have detected nothing. I wonder why I don't see any issues on my end?

Jason,

On 7/11 your account suffered from foreign malicious access. I can assure you Blizzard had no hand in that and however they got your information, it's important to find.

Someone did report this on your behalf so your investigation is already been started and is in queue. At the moment, those are running about 5-ish days, give or take.

Looking at this, appears you just placed an authenticator on the account, that's excellent and should keep them out of your WoW account, but I'd still encourage you to find the source of this. Your WoW account isn't all they'll take given the opportunity.

This sticky may be useful for security tips.

It will still be a little while, but your Specialist will email you when your investigation is completed with the results.
