Then they go and reduce talent trees back down to the vanilla state of 31. And make it mandatory that you definetly specialize in one tree further homogenizing each class build.
So Cataclysm we are getting a newly modeled 3D Azeroth and Masteries. Great?!? We are paying $40 for a refurbished game we paid $50 for 5 years ago. They are taking out talents, removing stats... trying to make the game more in-depth by making it simpler?!? To me they are moving further away from an MMORPG and more towards an action game. In that case bring on Diablo 3, that is a much better action game.
The best part about the whole thing is they are killing there feedback system by introducing REALID to their forums. No one will want to give any criticism about the game for fear of exposing their real names. Brilliant! I just hope Blizzard doesn't take the lack of criticism as meaning they've done a good job. Seems like alot of creativity was lost on this expansion and we are just getting a repolished product. I wonder if this is the Activision effect?
