Faction change name issue

Psylocke and Grimlok, you both should be able to log in at this time, without being asked to change your name. Please give this a try for me, and make sure that you are able to actually log into your respective characters. Sayeth, your friend will have to give me a post here if they would like me to resolve their issue, sorry, but I am unable to alter someone else’s account unless I have their permission.

As for your own issue, Sayeth, it appears that your situation was a bit different. It doesn’t appear that the character, which is now named Zooie, was previously named Zooe; the name seems to have been quite a bit different, according to my records. That being the case I do not believe there is going to be much I can do to assist you with this. Your Faction Change should have come with the ability to rename and recustomize your character, and you should have been able to select Zooe at that time, as the name is not taken on your realm at this time.

If it is a name you would really like this character to be known under, you may want to consider using an alternate character to hold onto the name until you are able to utilize the Character Name Change process.

We are not accusing you of fishing for a free name change, Sayeth. There was just a bit of confusion as we were expecting the name to be Zooe, currently. It was not clear that you had opted to select a new name and log in the character.

As you noted there are several posts about this but in those cases the character flagged for the rename was not logged in. The person simply posted here or submit an in-game petition from an alternate character.

I'll see what I can do to correct it.

Actually, I'll need you to log out of the character if I am going to be able to help. :) Please let me know when you have done so.

No worries, Sayeth, text is a funny thing, sometimes getting your meaning across is a challenge. In many cases just misreading one word can change the entire structure of the sentence. :)
