Racial Language not working

Okay, I'm trying to speak in Darnassian on this character, but the game seems stuck on common. I can't figure out how to make it change. When I switch it to Darnassian, nothing changes. I continue to speak in common. Help?

Where are you attempting to speak Darnassian, Amourea? It should only work in Say, yell, guild and party chat. Public channels such as General won't be affected, neither will whisper.

Do you have any addons active? Something may prevent you from keeping Darnassian as an option.

I don't believe it can, Amourea. You may want to check in the UI and Macro forum to see if there are any other options but I think the language change only applies to the General Chat window.
