He hasn't played in like 6 months, but I saw his char on thinking it was him but it wasn't it was just some bot on his char continuously running mana tombs.

He already send blizzard an email saying its been hacked and to cancel the account time.

Anyways he thinks the hackers maybe changed his battle.net email(Or he might of forgot what email it was on because he hasn't played in like half a year) how would he go about getting it switched back?

Although he already send his email his character is still online botting mana tombs, his name is Renzoku on Nerzhul, if one of you GMs could kick off the bot that would be nice too.

Thank you for the report Homie.

If you could have your friend check his registered email for further instructions, that would be helpful.

This isn't the first time this account has had security issues. Please urge your friend to check his system security - as well as the security of his email account.

This sticky may be useful.

He may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

Q u o t e:
Ya thanks for the reply, he has an Iphone so I told him already to download the app(when he gets the account back) and put it on even if he isn't playing.

Edit however In the link posted, I didn't find anything about having your battle.net account email changed.

We set that back to his last, known good address.

They had indeed managed to change it - which does make it highly likely his email itself may be compromised.
