Thanks, but not over yet...

Dear Activision and Blizzard,

First of all, I'd like to say "thank you" for going with a username instead of real names on the forums. That is a big step in the right direction, but the fight's not over yet.

I know Real ID is "optional" in game, and may it ever stay that way from this day forth, but it is also a wonderful feature, permitting people to make friends cross-server and keep in touch even when they're on alts. However, it still uses your real name, and as such continues to make it a threat to safety and security, leaving people open for stalking and harassment via exploitation of the code itself, along with the Friends of Friends feature.

Acti-Bliz, please let us use our usernames there, as well, instead of our real names. If we REALLY need to remember who's character is what, that's what the notes section can be used for, privately, for our own eyes.

On both our normal and our Real ID list, please give us the option to make our status "invisible" if we so choose, whether the account as a whole, or by character, or BOTH. It could even be set up so only certain people see certain characters. We all have bad days and sometimes just want to get away.

As a company, you still have a ways to go to restore my faith and prove you care for your customers. I hope you won't disappoint.

Thank you,

Kit
