WOW1 and WOW2, Please Repond

Here's the problem. A few day ago, I had a friend send me a recruit-a-friend request so our accounts would be linked (EXP, mount, etc.) I used the key and downloaded a trial account. I already planed on upgrading, so after a day or so, I went to the Blizz store and purchased an online version of original WOW, which I downloaded. Now, under my battlenet account, I have two games - the trail (WOW1) and the actual game (WOW2). When I log into the game, again there are WOW1 and WOW2 - 1 being the trail with an already created character which is linked with the friend, 2 being the new one, empty of all characters. I have already put in my CC info so that once my free month is up I can keep playing. I've tried to upgrade the connected account (WOW1) but it says that I've already used my key. How can can I make use of the invite a friend request, and upgrade the account to continue playing after the trial is up?

Will a Blizz staff please help with this? I am perfectly willing to call for assistance, but for the last two days the lines have been totally inaccessible. Not to be rude, but this entire battlenet thing seems ridiculous so far. Help please?
