In-game mail hack!?

so yea.. I got hacked this morning and now i am doomed...

can you still be hacked just by opening an in-game mail from a scammer?
I didnt even read it,, I deleted that crap right away and still got hacked

because thats all i can think of
Ive been doin everything to get away with account hackers
and still got hacked....

Opening an in-game mail sent my a malicious party will not leave you vulnerable to account compromise, Allfamy. Please feel free to open the emails and use the Report Spam button to bring them to our attention, but make sure you do not visit any malicious links contained within!

Actually, the number of reports seems to be about par for a Saturday, Legendaíry. We've received a several reports of new, and particularly devious, phishing scams being sent out by malicious parties, though. It's possible that players have fallen victim to a phishing scam. There has not been any sort of security vulnerability on our end, however.
