A lvl 1 player by the name of Bettykju on the realm Chromaggus just contacted me live in-game. They talked to me (as opposed to using a pre-written whisper) and asked me if I wanted to buy gold. I put in a ticket and reported them for spam, but I thought I would tell you on the forums since the gold seller is still logged in.

Nobully,

Report Spam is exactly the correct way to report any kind of illicit advertising like this.

I'm not sure where you ever got any other idea, that is what it was developed for.

You are confusing functionality.

It does indeed do all that - but not only that.

For actual 'rules' violations vs. 'advertising', a petition is still best.

Q u o t e:

the silence is deafening.

Nobully, you seem to want to argue semantics.

Report advertising and body spam with report spam.

Report other rules violations of a more serious nature with a petition.

That's really all there is to it, and both get attention.
