The reason the card said "a future" beta is because we usually don't announce something until it nearly guaranteed to happen. For instance if we said the beta code was for a specific project but the project ended up being delayed or worse, those of you with that code might be more than a little upset that your code was now useless.

With it being announced that the code was for a "future" beta test things could be adjusted depending on what happened with our projects.

That make sense?

I'll make some inquiries, Torpse, but I believe the code was intended to be used in the last beta test period. It may take a day or two before I hear anything back but I'll let you know.

Edit: It should also be noted that even if the code can be used for Cataclysm beta it doesn't necessarily mean that you will get in during the first wave of invitations.

From what I've been able to find out the code itself was used for a specific beta project which was released after the cards were distributed. It does not look like the code can be used for this or other beta testing periods.

Sorry, Torpse. Hopefully by opting in through your Battle.net account you'll be able to receive an invitation.
