Battered Hilt Question

So this is my old character, at the time I got battered hilt for him as a healing weapon b/c i was switching to holy, but recently I've wanted to just go back to ret. My only ret weapon is really bad, and I was wondering if I can get the 2hander battered hilt sword instead now.

I dont want to just switch them, i know thats not possible, but is it possible to DE or Delete the version i have, get a new battered hilt and redo the quest line?
