Well i was bored browsing various forums, when on mmo-champ i cam across a thread mentioning a person who is selling invites to Beta. Now obviously sounds fake. But just because i was bored i went and explored further. This lead to a very disgusting set of forums that supports botting/gold selling and exploitation of games. The site ranked a terrible 2 on web of trust, and i fully agree with it. I do not want to post the name of the site unless a blue asks for it, because i do not want people who are less internet aware getting themselves in trouble. But needless to say, they have a large thread about selling blizzard beta access. They are not selling keys as they do not exist...they say they are selling spots on a list that a blizzard employee than submits every week for potential beta testers. It all sounds like a scam until you get to page 4 or 5 of the thread...when the first round of "beta invites" supposedly went out...everyone who said they submitted and paid for the service have screenshots to prove they got in. The remaining pages just are people requesting access, but there were enough believable verification that I really think blizzard should take a look at this and request a cease and desist while also trying to find the blizzard employee who is quickly making a ton of money off of this racket.

Q u o t e:

Report the site to hacks@blizzard.com. If there's even a shred of legitimacy to the idea that a Blizzard employee would act in such a corrupt manner, that's a soon-to-be-ex-Blizzard employee.

Indeed. Please forward any links you may have to our Hacks department, they will be happy to look into it. You may also use the following webform.
