Wowstead compromised?

I've had quite a few of "phishing" emails recently and they have all been sent to my http://www.wowstead.com/ email address. I use a unique email address when I signup for any service so I know where emails I receive come from (ie. [email protected]).

So either Wowstead has been compromised or they have sold our email addresses on. I'd be extremely hesitant to use their services in the future.

Do you list the e-mail address on the site anywhere? That is usually how that information is gathered, by viewing public guild pages and grabbing contact addresses for the members. If you believe a site has been compromised though, Wakatu, I'd highly recommend contacting them directly and letting them know. If there is a leak they may not be aware of it to plug it up.
