Just wondering. Since it is such a great thing you guys will obviously be partaking in it as well right?

Also as I post this I notce the print at the bottom. Doesn't the whole idea of Real ID break their own code of conduct?

Help keep these forums a fun and safe place for everyone - please report any Code of Conduct violations you see, including:
Threats of violence. We take these seriously and will alert the proper authorities.
Posts containing personal information about other players. Physical/email addresses, phone numbers, and inappropriate photos and/or videos.

Yessir.

Micah Whipple, at your service. Like all employees I've also been in every game manual and credit reel since I've been here.

but not tied to your character name.

Nor will I be.

You won't have to be tied to a character name while posting. You'll have the choice of displaying one if you want, but it's off by default.

No, I didn't add you. But are you telling me that doesn't bother you?

My name has been out there for a while, I get friend requests all the time from random people. No, it does not bother me. I don't add them.

I should point out that showing a real first and last name doesn't provide any one the right to then seek out additional information on that name and post it here. That has been and will continue to be a violation of the forum code of conduct, and so bans and what have you are incoming. Fair warning.

That's just a blanket rule that applies to everyone.

So you instigate by pointing out that we found the wrong info on you, then we hit to close to home so you threaten to ban us.

No, no. It's not a threat.

Personally I really don't care, but as a rule posting someone's personal information is a violation so we need to uphold the code of conduct. It's not up to an individual whether it bothers them or not, it's a blanket rule.

Since the moderators are going to uphold that rule I thought it fair warning to tell everyone not to get banned by trying to prove a point.

If thats the case, then why are you violating your own rule?

I chose to share my first and last name. That's not a violation of the rule.
