Correct, on both counts!

In addition, listing an alias when you create a Battle.net account can result in other issues with account management. Real ID is intended for use with those with whom you are acquainted, and if you are concerned with your Real ID friends (and friends of friends) knowing your real name, it may be better to refrain from using it.
