What if: Account hacked, gold farm spam

I've been reading these threads for a while and have not seen this issue addressed:

What if I choose not to participate in the forums, because I don't want my real name here. What happens if my account gets hacked by a gold spammer that spams the forums with gold selling adds using my real name. Remember that the forums do not need your authenticator to log in.

Just like that, a person can be opened to harassment through no fault of their own.

Creating redundant threads concerning the our recent Real ID announcement is something we are trying to deter because it is much easier to keep up with those discussions (and various points of view) when they are condensed into one focused location.
