On june 24th I logged onto my account and found it hacked. The password was not changed, for whatever reason, but 12,812 gold 95s and 31c was missing. My main character was also on another server. I was also missing 60 frost and had a 264 belt from frost emblems in my inventory. I was also missing a lot of ore and gems and ench mats.

I petitioned blizzard and got a quick response telling me they would look into it. On the 30th of june I got another email saying they found no items or gold missing from the account BUT they thought the security was compromised.

"We have reason to believe that your account has been compromised using a Key Logger or Trojan virus.."

"The investigation of the unauthorised access to your account has been completed. We have checked your characters and found no item or gold loss. If you think that something is missing however, please send a new petition with the characters affected and, if possible, the name of the items that were lost or the amount of money missing."

"Please do not reply to this email as you will receive an automated response. If you have any further enquiries regarding your account status, please send them to: [email protected]."

So I sent an email to [email protected] and received this response.

"Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

[email protected]

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected [email protected] (state 14)."

I decided to send a new petition in-game to solve this problem. Due to the very limited space we get for petitions, I did not type out all I was missing and simply said

"I have recently received an email stating that "We have checked your characters and found no item or gold loss. If you think that something is missing however, please send a new petition"
As much as I would love to do just this, I'm getting insufficient room to list everything. I atempted to send an email to [email protected], but for some reason, It was rejected. I wish to talk to a GM"

Within a few hours I got a response from an actual person telling me he would put me through to a specialist and that it would take "A few hours"

I have had a message saying "Your ticket has been escalated" since then.
I just want this business to be over.

Q u o t e:
A response from other players who have experienced the same thing would be wonderful, or an explanation from a GM. I have kept every email on the subject, and have a full list off all the items lost.

The only thing I can tell you, Mendenbarr, is that an investigation was conducted and they were unable to verify the loss you had experienced. Unfortunately we are only able to provide restoration for activity that we are able to verify and it looks like your compromise took place outside of the available logs.

I am sorry, Mendenbarr, we do try to help whenever possible and I have no doubt that you my have been compromised but we are only able to provide restoration for what we are able to verify within our systems. If your issue was escalated they should be able to take another look though so I wish you luck.

Use [email protected], I believe wowconcerns is a EU address, I'm not certain why you are being directed there.
