Players abusing others in the Dungeon Tool

I just got to 80 a day ago I've been using the dungeon tool to gear up. I didn't have a trinket in one of my slots, due to getting to 80 from AV weekend anyways when I was in a random I picked up a stam trinket that was for tanking. The essence of gossamer I know its bad super bad for me to be wearing it, but no one needed it at the time and it was an upgrade only because of the talent hunter vs wild which gives me 30% of my stamina as AP - Anyways I joined a group for Heroic Pit of Saron last night and I was harassed about it the entire night by a paladin and a dk in the group - to the point where they then decided instead of vote kicking me they'd keep me around to roll need on everything I needed from the instance.

My Fel Glacier crossbow managed to drop and I rolled need and they just waited for the entire roll timer to tick before I got it. Then they discussed how they were going to be running dungeons all night because its fun to mess with people. When we got to the end of Pit of saron an agility/stam armor pen ring dropped and the dk and pally tank rolled need on it just to rub it in my face. Because the instance was on heroic I wasn't able to re-que the dungeon without hoping i would get it again in the random dungeon.

Then later on in the night I que Forge of Souls Heroic for the Encrusted Scorpion - and they are in the group again and right before the last boss they change the loot system and they win the encrused scorpion right as it drops and vote to kick me from the group.

I took screenshots of what they were saying about it - they said to me "Get over it we do this to everyone deal with it failtard".. They also said several times that they would NOT get into trouble for doing this with blizzard because they do it all the time.

What I want to know is, is what they said true?

Anyways heres some screenshots from pit of saron, I used some bad words i bleeped them out - I know thats against the rules but I think anyone given my circumstances would do it to as angering as this situation was:

<removed>

Also one last thing the guy who rolled need in screenshot 3 is a 5.9k gs DK and the tank was also incredibly geared so for their excuse that they could use or need use of that stuff is pitiful.

Hey there, Juno. I'm sorry you had a rough time using the Dungeon Finder system.

Before we get to business, I also want to compliment you on your name. Juno Reactor is amongst my favorites - I'm particularly fond of Pistolero.

Anyway! I understand how this situation could have been both frustrating and even a little humiliating. That's certainly not the kind of experience that we hope that our players will have, but on the other hand, we also have limits with regard to what is and what is not considered harassment. In this case, it sounds like these guys misinterpreted your gear and assumed you were a certain kind of player, and chose to be jerks =/.

There aren't any harassment policies expressly forbidding being a jerk in World of Warcraft at the moment, though I'd encourage everyone to play with consideration and fair play in mind. Fortunately, the Dungeon Finder system does have some built in protections though. If you use the cross realm ignore feature </ignore playername-realmname>, then you will not be grouped with these players when using the Dungeon Finder. Also, Need Before Greed is the default and strict looting system for Dungeon Finder groups - it should not have been possible for these players to change the looting system for a particular fight.

Naturally, if you have any recommendations regarding how we can improve the Dungeon Finder system, please feel free to contribute them constructively via our Suggestions forum.
