Q u o t e:
it is obviously a constant occurance with blizzard to screw the customer out of money, 2 day wait times on a gm to reply to a ticket.
Though we are not happy with the current wait times, Grenndel, in-game support is not factored int your subscription.
Q u o t e:
sever shutdowns that take a day away from us, with absolutely no compensation, and they talk how the customer is their priority, really? there is no proof of that statement what so ever.
You mean the realm maintenance that is intended to improve the performance of your realm and get it ready for the next expansion? It is important to note that weekly maintenance as well as the occasional extended down time is factored into your subscription rate. Though in certain cases we will provide compensation when these times exceed acceptable parameters. As Barolas noted you can usually view such credits under the Account Management page under the View Payment History option.
Q u o t e:
they continually add features to the game and then charge you for , on top of the monthly fee. this is a common practice among thieves,
Actually, we continually add new content to the game that is more often then not free. We also introduce services that have been requested by our playerbase that we do charge for as it is an additional service and not part of your subscription.
The thieves statement is so amazingly ridiculous that it is difficult to comment further on it.
Q u o t e:
you purchased the game , and then were told the game doesn't bleong to you, is still the property of blizzard. now truly, what do you purchase and take home, yet the people that made it still own
That is not entirely true and is a highly simplified and inaccurate description of the matter.
When you purchase the game you are provided physical material (i.e. the CD's and other booklets, etc...), that is yours to a certain degree as described by the EULA.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/eula.html This also provides you with a unique authentication key which is used to create an account. The account is akin to a pass for an amusement park. The account (pass) grants you access to the game (park) it does not mean you own the park nor does that mean that all realms and aspects of the game (attractions) are available at all times.
This pass comes with certain conditions as it is not something that you are permitted to sell, gift or trade to others. You may use it or through you may allow a minor child (that you are the parent or legal guardian of) to use it instead of you... i.e. enter the park.
Q u o t e:
Maybe it's time that blizzards recognizes our rights and starts to offer a competetive style of customer service and treats the customer with more respect.
We have a great deal of respect for our players, Grenndel, I'm sorry you don't agree but I'm afraid your views on the situation has lead to you misunderstanding a great deal of what may be going on.
Q u o t e:
I would go so far to say that blizzard is behind a lot of the gold selling, and account hacking.
I would go so far to say that it a ridiculous statement, Fatherolaf. Well it is beyond that but in the interest of remaining polite I will leave as is.
I don't believe anything productive can be had from this thread, especially when there seems to be a lack of logic and understanding present.
