You do realize most people who are compromised lose their information a good while before it is used right?

Eta: I've noticed almost everyone who post these conspiracy theories are running 'super secure systems' and 'never' could have done anything to lose their account info.

Q u o t e:
Now, I am reading through the "Have you been hacked" thread and I notice quite a few people claiming that they were hacked while the authenticator was in transit to them. What gives? Coincidence?? hmmmmm. This could be prevented by having the Blizzard store use a separate login, there's NO REASON they need my battle.net credentials to order a 5.00 plush toy do they?? Seems like they are exposing their customers to additional risk by doing this.

Q u o t e:

So just out of curiosity, how many people were hacked just after making an authenticator purchase?

It was a coincidence, Shinbap =/. To my knowledge, the Blizzard Store is secure. You may as well ask how many people were compromised after drinking green soda.

Q u o t e:
am not gullible enough to be phished

Anyone can be phished. It's not a question of gullibility, and in fact, a sense of invulnerability makes one rather vulnerable. Some of the messages I've seen are extremely sophisticated. The agencies which compromise accounts also purchase sponsored link space on popular search engines and post spurious phishing sites in the place of legitimate sites.

It's also possible that your account information had been acquired long before you happened to log into the store. I understand that when something like this occurs, it's natural to seek answers. Please don't make the mistake of manufacturing an answer.
