While real id my be great for those of us that have reai friends that we can truly trust so that they will know what we are doing. But this real id thing in game makes it easy for scammers to hack your account. Now it is going to be here on the forums.

I say no way, I do not want it here on the forums. It will only make it easier for spammers to hack your account. They will just take your name from the forums. Then go to billing and say they are you. If someone in billing forgets to ask any security questions he can get your account info emailed to him. If you have a battlenet authenticator all he has to do is say that he is you and ask to have it removed. He will tell them that it is broken and that is why he is calling.

I understand that you want to use it in order to stop all of the trolling and flame wars. But I agree with someone else in another thread that said instead of doing this is for Blizzard to be active in moderating their forums. Improve at doing your job of moderating the forums then you will not need this.

Also what type of insanity is it to have a way of rating posts. All anyone that does not like has to do is to keep rating all of your posts very, very low. Even though you might have some of the best game changing ideas ever. But because of the rating your posts are never even considered. Further that rating could even get you banned for not having any posts that truly contributes anything useful either to a discussion or to this game.

This will not work at all. It will only drive away players from the forums. I say that what we need to do to protect ourselfs from this is to stop posting on the forums when these changes hit the forums. Now if there is a way to opt out of this or you could use an idea of another poster in a different thread. He said you could use a nickname that would be attached to all characters.

Or we could use a pen name which aurhors of books use when they do not want their real name to appear on their book. I know that when these changes come I will stop posting here and if I can change my name to a pen name and still have things that I would order from blizzards store delivered to my real name then I will be just fine.

If these changes make any of the potiential problems materialize then I suggest that all of you long time posters to stop posting until we know how our account info will be protected even though our real names are displayed for all to see. Also how this change to players rating your post will come out. Until then like I said earlier when the changes come I will stop posting period.
