Reactivated old account missing wotlk

I have reactivated my old account but cannot play any of my old characters, it tells me I need to have the wotlk installed. I origanlly paid for and downloaded the wotlk off the internet and do not have a cd. do i have to buy it again? or can someone here help. If i have to buy it again were do I go to do this?
