Yup thats right. My account (not this one) was hacked when I was on my way home from droppin my g/f off at work. All I did differently this morning than the past two years of playing WoW is update Adobe. I don't know if the two are common in anyway. I was given a 3 hour ban for currency trading. I personally am shocked and do not know how to approach this. Do I wait out the 3 hour ban than post a ticket in WoW asking to restore any items/accounts that were deleted? Or is there a way you guys can help me over the forums? (again this is not the account in question, I cannot post on that account because of the ban)

I am intelligent enough to not answer any emails or go to any scam sites. But this still occurs.

Could you give me a character name/realm that's on that account?

Well, it certainly appears someone accessed this account.

I'd recommend full security sweeps, and also make sure that your email account is secure and hasn't been forwarded.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

That will pass rather quickly.

The danger is them getting right back in once it has.

Looks like you guys are out of authenticators, any word when more is coming in?? I need to get one too. Anyone know other place that sells it?

I just heard today we were out of stock myself. Hopefully it will be soon, but I don't have that information I'm afraid.

It's been some time since this has happened, it did a lot a year ago when these were new.

I'd just keep checking back on the store. You don't have one of the supported devices for the mobile app?

By the looks of the armory on all my characters I am missing most of my gear and who knows what else. Is there anyway this stuff can be restored BEFORE I get my account back? Or must I go through the process of sending in a ticket?

If I use my sisters IPOD Touch (for authenticator) will it require me to use her touch everytime I log into the game?

This is the first time in awhile I am seriously considering quiting wow. Its not the service or anything like that... Its the fact that something like a GAME is making me this upset.

Yes, if an authenticator is added you'll need access to it everytime you log in.
