I'm sorry to hear that your account might have been compromised, Abacadaba. I know that you're probably more than a little stressed out and upset, but please don't forget that we're here to help. Your first priority should be to secure your system, to help ensure that this doesn't occur again. The articles we've posted in the following sticky can be very helpful in this regard:

Account Hacked? Security Issue? Look Here!

Also, the email you received including notification of your password reset was partially to let you know that an investigation has been initiated regarding your compromise.

First, I should point out that accounts are no less secure under Battle.net than they were before the merge. In fact, because you now have the option to change your registered email address, and thus your 'account name', they are more secure than was previously possible.

On the other hand, those who would compromise accounts have moved to methods that seem all too effective, such as massive phishing efforts.

Regardless, I understand that it can be challenging to get into the hold queue for telephone assistance. As others have mentioned, patience, persistence and active use of the redial button is most likely to meet with success.

Alternatively, you can send an email to [email protected] indicating that you wish to have the maliciously applied Authenticator removed, and including a filled out Terms of Use form:

Best luck!
