Is there a way to fix my account owner name?

Was directed here by the general forums.

So, the whole RealID thing (and my recent attachment of an authenticator) has led me to check certain details on my Bnet account and I just discovered that when I signed up for WoW a few years back I did so using a different name to the one on my ID.

This wasn't intentional - I use and have been using a nickname (a contraction of my real name) online for about 10 years now. My facebook, many other facets of my online life and even a number of accounts are under this name - and most of my IRL friends know me by this handle. So force of habit, I signed up under this one.

My concern is - I have just placed a mobile authenticator on my account. If something happens to my phone or I simply change phones, I will need to have the authenticator removed. Which according to the response to my earlier question will require ID. Never even thought of this before now.

So is there any way to change my Bnet owner name to my real one? - I can provide a fair bit of evidence via my facebook profile, email etc. Or am I SOL?

Thanks for your time.

Please call our Billing department, Sìlence. You'll find that we're not out to get you or to prevent you from playing the game you've enjoyed for so long. If you can provide enough identifying information, they'll happily restore access to your account, and they may even be able to adjust your name is the variation you entered is only slightly different from your real name.

As previously stated, though, you may need to submit our Terms of Use form found here if you are unable to provide an adequate amount of information over the phone. This form can be accessed here:
