How to turn RealID into something I will love

RealID and the new battle.net is a disaster. It started showing signs of blowing up with the changes in SC2 (lolfacebook friends list) and now it's spilling over into WoW. Fortunately, I have one solution that will make everyone adore the added functionality that RealID brings.

Instead of binding everything to my real name, bind it to one gamertag. Every b.net account gets a forward-facing gamer tag. You post under the gamertag and your RealID friends see your gamertag.

This would turn RealID into something that I would love to use instead of something that makes me fear for my favorite games. I would happily add my close WoW friends and enjoy talking cross-game and cross-server with them. I would freely browse and post on the forums knowing that I, and everyone else, had a unique face in the community. I would happily use the feature to invite friends into ranked 4v4 matches in SC or to run a daily heroic in WoW.

This kind of functionality is unprecedented. I can totally see why Blizzard is excited to be working on it. You're just missing one thing. Just one trifling thing, really, but that one thing is such an obstacle that it has caused more conversation than an x-pac announcement.

Just let us use a unique gamertag instead of forcing us to use our real names. That's the only stroke missing from your masterpiece.
