In the shortest possible terms:

Blizzard is violating the privacy of children. Blizzard is building their games in such a way that children's real names are available to anybody that they think is their online friend long enough to mutually click a button. This is a terrible idea.

We all know there are creeps online. Ask any actual female who has played a female toon for more than a few minutes, or has spoken in ventrilo during a pug.

Here are some contact pages for some people who may feel this is a bigger deal than Activision/Blizzard evidently do.

Considering the millions of children that play Blizzard games, I think bringing this betrayal of trust to wider attention is perfectly valid.

Ban Away. I must say I am incredibly disgusted by the forum policy which is apparently to shove every bit of conversation regarding this topic into the 200+ page megathread where it will be readable by nobody.
