I dont know why i can still post on the forums but thats good. my account has been compromised. no blizzard customer service is available at this time.

i just got kicked out of my account and an authenticator was put on. my main has had all of his gear vendored and all of his bag items vendored, and he's systematically going down the list of everything else.

i would love some help. this is pretty hard to watch.

Please check your email for further instructions on this, Cølbear.

Right now, security is the main concern so they can't get back in. If they can....they WILL be back, that is very likely.

This sticky may be useful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

does it help that my friend has screenshots of the guy vendoring my gear? we were playing together when i got kicked out and he's still on vent with me.

Totally unnecessary, Cølbear. We will be able to see what was done.

The main concern at first is making sure however they got your information isn't still available to them to get any new account information.

no clue how it happened. i ran a norton system scan and there is no keylogger. i've never been mixed up with gold sellers or something.

maybe someone bruteforced me or something. but nobody really knows my email except my realid friends.

access to my account has been disabled, is that a good thing?

Since they were in actively causing mischief - yes.

Norton isn't nearly good enough for a scan. No single scanner is.

You want to use at least one aimed at virus/trojans and one aimed at spyware/adware at a min - run them one at a time with the launcher open and a bit of gibberish in the password fields.

what am i missing?

The source of this if you haven't found it yet.

It may not be malware - but they DID get your information somehow.

If that's not determined, the chances of them getting back in by getting fresh information is VERY high.
