Question on the maintenance note on the log in screen and you know how it says its for the expansion what does this mean? that its coming really soon? i would like to know.

That means that we're updating and improving our systems in anticipation of the Cataclysm release, Alltank. The actual release date for the expansion itself hasn't been announced yet though.
