2 Cata Questions

Hey there!

I was wondering about two things that i had not seen any answers to yet. I wish to get some insight on these questions if there is any.

First off, is the Soul Shard ability for Warlocks in Cata going to be available for every spell? Or will it only apply to certain spells? Like in the preview I saw some examples to certain spells after using a soul shard but could that effect spells like even Soulshatter?

Second, I keep hearing that current BoAs won't work to 85. But one question I have is will they work for say 80- 81 still?

These are both correct. Note that there will be level 85 heirlooms that will not stop working at 80. However, you'll have to get at least one character to 85 to purchase them.

The experience bonus will stop working. It's also possible they will no longer grow in stats above level 80, but you can probably still equip them.

There may not be a ton of incentive if you have a full wardrobe of heirlooms already. We will be making new kinds of heirlooms though, including some new slots. Many players also reach a point where they can't find anything else to spend badges on, so heirlooms look more attractive then.
