Personal security concerns with Real ID

Put it bluntly: I don't want everyone able to see my full name. I actually have this problem with facebook too. I consider ok for those I consider and trust enough to accept as a Real ID friend to know my full name. It's another that any random joe visiting the forums can get it.

Can we possibly please have the ability to choose a nickname or something that we cannot change later on to be our publicly visible name?

Having all of our names out there for everyone to see is just an unneccessary personal security risk. It's nice to be able to vanquish trolls and anonymous posters, but there's ways to do that without telling everyone your full name. Let us create a 1 time permanent nickname or something, please.
