There are a number of ways that the trolling/spam/etc. can be policed without everyone's name showing up right alongside of their avatar. I see so many people missing the connection between the facebook and the alleged endeavor to 'strengthen the Blizzard community'. The idea is to sync up with your existing social networks and expose more people to the game/s. This is strictly a marketing decision and has absolutely nothing to do with combating forum abuse.

So attack the marketing methodologies if you're going to get upset. Too bad the one redeeming function of the 'feature' isn't even intended.
