Hello, I have a question concerning some email's I've received over the last couple of weeks. I didn't purchase either item and the credit card used wasn't mine.

I checked all the links and they seemed legit, I even replied to the [email protected] and received this email in return.

Ahoy!

I did want to first thank you for contacting us. I wanted to let you know that I
do not see the steed being purchased to your account. As such, it is possible
that these things can be gifted to other people. So, it is always a possibility
that one of your friends may have sent it to you? To be honest, I am not exactly
sure as to how or why this steed is showing up in your email. I really wouldn't
worry at this time, as again, I do not see any charges going through. I do
greatly appreciate your understanding though. =)

After this email I thought everything was resolved but a few days later I received this email:

I filled the survey out and it appeared to be the legit one from blizzard.com. Shortly after this I received an email from:

Subject: Re: Blizzard Store Order

Thank you for reporting this email to us. No order appears to have actually
been placed and after investigating this issue it appears the email you received
was attempting to direct you to a fake site.

We have recently seen an increase in phishing attempts which pose a real threat
for account security. As a friendly reminder, many scams will ask you for your
password, which is something Blizzard Entertainment will *NEVER* do.

You may wish to review the following links for more information on phishing
emails:

to do in the event you have received a phishing email can be found on the
Customer Service Forum here:

Add a Battle.net authenticator to the account and receive an exclusive Corehound
pet! Information about this security device can be found here:

If you feel you may have responded to a phishing email, and are unable to access
the account, please contact Account & Technical Services. With proper
verification our representatives may be able to assist you in recovering the
account. Our contact information can be found at

Account and Technical Services

I guessed that they forwarded the email to the support department or something because I received a customer satisfaction survey shortly after this that also led to the legit blizzard website.

And just before I typed all this up I received this email:

Blizzard Entertainment <[email protected]>

Subject: World of Warcraft - Account Issue
Priority: Normal Date: Monday, July 5, 2010 11:54 PM Size: 7 KB
Greetings,

Thank you for contacting us with regards to the World of Warcraft account you are using. We have reviewed the account and were unable to find any restrictions which would prevent you from accessing the account or the game servers. If your account was suspended and your password reset, please try to log into the game client with the temporary password that was sent to you before accessing the account information page to change your password.

If you continue to have problems, please make sure that the servers are online by checking the World of Warcraft site at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/. Please inform us if this issue persists so that we may forward it to our Technical Support Department. Alternatively, you may contact them directly at [email protected]. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you in advance for your time and patience. We appreciate your continued support of World of Warcraft.

Sincerely,

Subject: account suspention

sending this email to confirm that my account suspension was an , so as soon as possible can you unfreeze my account? thanks

I didn't send any email to blizzard regarding an account suspension and my account has never been suspended.

I apologize for the long post, I'm just slightly concerned why I'm receiving all these emails. They don't appear to be phishing emails and I haven't clicked any links other than the reply to [email protected] (which appeared to be legit) and the customer support emails that were also legit links to surveys. I honestly could be making really large errors in deciphering these emails legitimacy, which is why I'm posting this extremely long thread.

Thanks in advance!

Excellent question, and from what is here - I honestly cannot say, Kur.

I don't see any issues with the account you are posting under.

You might want to discuss this live with one of our Billing representatives.
