All characters gone

Yes, and it's possible if you logged into the forums there is a vulnerability there that allowed them to grab your details as well.

Doesn't look like they added an authenticator, and you appear to have just changed your password, that's good.

Now, finding the source so they can't get BACK in is important. Make sure your email is secure as well. Those can often become compromised at the same time. You'll want to put in a petition to have this investigated. If you feel you are in control of your account - I won't ask this be locked at this time, but you have got to find the source.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

This wasn't banned when I last looked, but it's not uncommon at all with compromised accounts.

They don't steal these to do 'nice' things with them.

I downloaded, installed, ran Spybot as you suggested. Again 1 tracking cookie was found and removed. I have used the same Log in name for the last 10 years. Though I change my password to all my games about every 6 months. To restate, I did make a new e-mail address that will only be used for WoW. Is there anything else I can do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

I recommend everyone have an authenticator. They just cannot be beaten for the extra layer of security they provide.
