Q u o t e:
To see if you actually got a beta invite, go to battle.net, log in, then go to Manage Games and see if the beta is listed there.

If it's not listed there, then you haven't been invited and the email is fake.

Edit: If you clicked on any links in the email and/or entered any information into the site it took you too, you are probably going to be hacked. :(

I highly recommend scanning your computer for viruses, malware, and spyware. Also, change your email address and password attached to your battle.net account.

Correct, and I'm afraid that the email you quoted is fake. It is likely that if you followed a link in that email that your account has been compromised as well. =/

At this point, your first step should be to change your account password, and then to read the articles we've posted here:

You can learn more about how to recognize phishing emails from our sticky on the subject as well:

Is that the email you got? It looks pretty legit.

I don't see any grammar errors or anything.

battle.net
blizzard.com
worldofwarcraft.com

These three sites all have something in common with eachother: World of Warcraft - I didn't see any other sites there. It could possibly be a legit invite. Wait for a blue response though, to be sure.

Most phishing messages now 'spoof' legitimate sites, and use them to hide malicious URLs. It's a very easy thing to do, unfortunately.

Q u o t e:
Idk how to see if I did tho. This stubborn person whos convinced its real keeps telling me to wait for blue response.

If you log into your Battle.net account at http://us.battle.net/ and Cataclysm is not listed amongst your games, then you were not selected for the beta test.

Aren't all of those links that I boldfaced owned and controlled entirely by Blizzard Entertainment?
