Hi,

When I turned my iPhone on today and went to the Battle.Net Authenticator it stayed on "Initializing" for sometime before opening the app, every time I try to login no matter the code it says "Invalid code" I've synced it with the server and it still doesn't work.

I need some assistance as I can't login to my account because of this. Please help ASAP.

Have you tried to resync your app from within the application itself?

Sometimes Mobile applications can get a bit out of kilter with the system and need resync'd.

Hey Orlyia,

Yeah I have done that several times and it has said "Sync Successfull". It's really very odd how it worked 10 hours ago and now it doesn't.

Are you able to please remove it? I can provide the serial number from the authenticator itself and any other details to prove it's me (same IP, sqa etc)

Please this is a very urgent matter, thank you.

Unfortunately, no - we cannot remove a legitimate authenticator here. That is for your protection.

I thought maybe this locked up from too many attempts, but if it's the account you are posting under, that does not seem to be the case.

Billing can remove that for you if need be, but they are the only ones. They need to verify your identity for your protection before that can be done.

By the way, just a thought.

Have you tried resetting your UI since you resync'd?

May not help, shouldn't hurt - worth a try.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

More detailed instructions for different operating systems, including Macs are here.

Let me see if I can have someone look into this a bit further for you, Defile.

May I ask why you've attached and detached this so often?

I removed it a couple of times and then re-added it back, cause I did some updates on my phone and didn't want stuff to break (this was a while ago tho) with the iPhone 4.0 update.

Thank you very much, it is very much appreciated.

Aye, that is good because updating a phone can indeed change your serial number.

You are certain the number now is still the same?

I might recommend readding it a bit more quickly - I'm seeing days here in coverage gaps someone could potentially take advantage of :)

I have provided the number in my phone, I am very certain it hasn't changed as I have done no changes to my phone from the last login roughly ~11hours ago till now.

I've definitely typed it in correctly, hopefully someone can help. I really do appreciate this.

Try now, Defile, and I'd add that new one on ASAP. I know you don't think it's new....it is :)

I'm trying to but now I'm getting "Too many attempts.' because I was paranoid that I was typing the code wrong. /eeek

Can you unlock that for me? Thank you so much for all this!

Have you relaunched WoW? I'm not seeing that here.

I logged in fine to wow just now, this error was on the account management page. Trying to add my authenticator back to my account, but it's saying "Too many attempts"

I just logged into my warlock fine though !! Thank you x 1million!

As to Account Management, I'd try clearing your cookies and cache - that may be a browser issue.

It may also clear itself once you've logged in and out of the game.

Well, I am very happy to have been able to be of assistance, Defile.

Truly, on this particular issue, this is an exception - and only because the stars were lined up just right in your favor :)

Normally, this one would have needed to go through Billing.

Very happy to have been able to facilitate a solution for you. Anytime you wish to submit feedback on any Game Master interaction, the feedback address is [email protected], those all go to our Supervisors :)
