So at first when I lost my account, I was kind of bummed, but viewed it as a good way to "branch out" and stop playing wow. It sucked to see all of my hardwork disappear for some stupid mistake that I still don't know how I even made (regardless, I have reinstalled windows and have as much security as I can now including noscript :D), but I played this game WAY to much. After a couple months, I decided to start up again, so I rebought all the games and leveled another character to 80 on some RL friends server, and they said that I should at least try to get my account back. So I did, but trying to call customer support at Blizzard is like trying to get BP or the government to actually do a good job handling the oil spill. I gave up for about 2 weeks. Then I decided screw it, why not just email. Everyone says it's slower, but at least it should eventually get done. So I emailed... and I emailed yesterday. And now bam, I have my account back. Exactly like I left it, even down to the placement of the items in my bag. My only gripe is my two "geared" 80s were transferred off my normal server and my mage made into a troll (though I might keep that hmmm?).
Blizzard, I thought your support was just terrible, turns out you guys just aren't phone people!
I'm so excited now to have all my geared characters back and not be stuck with a couple fresh 80s with no epic fliers and no gear and no mounts and no achievements. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
