Hacked, Deleted, and No one will help me!

About 10 days ago I logged into my WoW account and saw that all of my characters had vanished, and instead I was now the owned of 10 new characters spread across 10 different realms - all whose names were like "jfhdsjd".
Then I logged out, panicked, logged back on and was told that my account was temporarily banned for three hours.

I knew what had happened. I had been hacked, and my account was used to spam gold sites. Right?

So i went and secured my computer and secured my account (new password, new e-mail). Then I logged my on my account and created a new character temporarily so that I could contact a GM and tell them what had happened.
So i did this, they told me that my account will be investigated and that I should wait a week or ten days and then contact them again if nothing changes.
I also sent an e-mail to the GMs to let them know what had happened..

Over the past 10 days I have been checking my email like mad, and logging in multiple times a day to see if my characters will ever be restored.
I've gotten a bunch of anonymous computerized non-personal e-mail responses from people at blizzard but those are worthless and hardly give me any information.

FINALLY, at the end of this 10 day period I receive yet another computerized e-mail response that says:
Q u o t e:
We have reviewed our logs of your account, and we were able to determine the following:

No gold was removed
No items have been deleted, sold, traded
No unauthorized character transfers
No profession changes
Guild banks associated with your characters are intact

Fortunately, it appears as though your account has been unharmed.

But that's not right!
All my gold, Items and characters have been removed. There are no characters to transfer and no professions to be changed. My characters don't even appear in the WoW armory.

I don't know what to do! I've just been sitting here as my playing time vanishes and no one seems to actually be helping me. Can you help me?

Actually, it looks like a member of our Investigations team just picked up your request, Aragnar. I'd expect you to hear something back within the next few hours, so sit tight just a bit longer. I can completely understand how frustrating it must have been to receive that e-mail, but rest assured we'll do our best to take care of you. :)

Thanks for your patience!

Thanks so much, Aredek. I got an e-mail and am extremely relieved. Woo!

I'm glad to hear it. Sorry again for the confusion!
